The Microbrew of Hummus

Paul Handsman, hummus diplomat
On my website, you can learn more about Roots Hummus and other healthy food options recently found at a major music festival in North Carolina. For now, I will focus on this amazing hummus that's made industrially but in a traditional, whole food, all-natural, homemade way. This article explains in detail what I'm talking about. No, the Roots Hummus guys did not make me an offer to promote their products. I just fell in love with the product and want to share that healthy love with you. What makes their hummus so much better? Glad you asked. They say that they are "the microbrew of hummus," so it's the difference between beer and craft beer. You have to taste it to understand. The Recipes
I have a fondness for "no recipe" recipes, as you know. I have one of those for you and one with measurements and instructions. For a printable version, click here. That's the salad with Roots  Mango Sriracha Hummus dressing. It's a teeny bit sweet and a teeny bit spicy.

The Palette of Fresh Ingredients for Tacos or Salad
Tiny Roots Hummus Taco (butter lettuce)

Large Roots Hummus Taco (green leaf lettuce)
Using your lettuce of choice as the low-carb tortilla option, load it up with Roots Hummus Original (my favorite so far) and layer on the following: diced red or yellow peppers, cilantro leaves, shaved red onion, diced tomatoes, diced avocado, asparagus spears in thin diagonal slices, radish matchsticks and crumbled feta cheese. If you'd like a meaty component, grilled chicken slices or shrimp are a good match. Finish with a julienne of the lettuce and toasted sesame seeds. No salsa needed. Have two or three or four! Completely fine if you're dieting, super-delicious and very satisfying. Let me know how you like it, please.
